Image description
Time travel is a useful idea for fiction or as a literary twist to compare past, present and future societies. In reality it only happens inside a brain. So here is a time machine built like a brain. Maybe time travel could happen in this.
Description of how this image was created
Just CSG . Lots of lights, transparencies and reflections account for the longish render time.

Comments by members when rating this image
1.   28-08-2010 Everything seems a bit too evenly lit, which greatly limits the sense of depth and drama this scene could certainly have.
2.   20-08-2010 [SMcA] Finding it hard to fault. The work area look like many I've been in.
3.   19-08-2010 [ThomdeG] While conceptually good, the images misses a bit of contrast and better work on the textures. Those are too basic and flat, making them to appear artificial. Try to use subtily layered textures and a better use of the normals which should be more subdued in the background than in the foreground.
4.   18-08-2010 good concept but it looks a bit flat for me. I like more bump on surfaces
