Image description
An abstract & play on the word plain. No grand thoughts here, this image came out of other learning. I have been following the TC_RTC. I enjoy seeing what folks create here and I decided to contribute.
Description of how this image was created
I've been playing with an object-as-isosurface patch. In addition to creating new objects from other objects with it, I have been using the method to control the positioning of textures in an image. Think of it as "paint by object." The texturing could be done in this image in more traditional ways. It is here placed using unseen objects, each acting as a container function for a noise function controlling where the texture is applied. Otherwise, nothing here but some scaled spheres, a plane and area lights.

Hmm, interesting and I'm a bit puzzled. So basicly - to get the punch line- you are using a quite advanced and over my head technique just to do the texturing of those eggs even if the same image could be made with simple CSG and texturing. Hmm again, but I tell you what: I'll give it a very high overall rating just because I would like to see more CGI here that explores ways outside of the realistic/photorealistic path. -Ive

It looks good in a "Color Field" way. SMcA

[ThomdeG] The only image that takes a drastically different view on the theme. Well done indeed. There is more to this image than the eyes can see.

I'm sorry to say that I can't find much interesting in this entry. Neither do I get the connection to the topic, nor does it stir anything in me, nor do I see (in a literal sense) any of the technical achievement you mention. I'm looking forward to seeing your contribution to future rounds though, as I know you can do better. - C.Lipka
