A literal interpretation of the theme; an infinite plane of clocks.
Description of how this image was created
I modelled the clock using CSG, and then wrote a macro so I could create clocks with different times. Then I wrote a loop to place clocks randomly on a plane and to avoid any collisions. Rendered using focal blur, an area point light and an area spotlight to provide a highlight. Gimp was then used to create the jpeg. The clock is loosely based on my old WestClox “Baby Ben” alarm clock.

1.   23-02-2009 Intriguing concept. well done.
2.   23-02-2009 I like it. Simple and clean.
3.   23-02-2009 Love this image! Close to real for me. One thing that might improve it is to bevel those sharp edges on the clocks.
4.   18-02-2009 Frankly, the concept is a bit too straightforward. However the technical execution is very convincing.
5.   18-02-2009 Some beveling of the corners, maybe? Aside from that, technically flawless. Conceptually and artistically not that strong though.
