Image description
A generic sphinx with generic hieroglyphs on the base, in a generic Egyptian landscape. It supposes that the small sphinx has been recently dug up.
Description of how this image was created
The face on the sphinx is a blob construction. The ground in the landscape and the tabletop are height fields. All else is CSG.
The long render time is due to the use of two area lights. Focal blur was used to give some depth.
