Image description

A very intriguing tessellation tile: the Sphinx shape.

Description of how this image was created

Such shapes are called replicating tiles or rep-tiles. See more information about the Sphinx
shape here. It inspired me for this picture.

Since the wind is coming from the valleys, the wall made of bags allows for reducing sand
accumulation along the road. The camels and people are real and come from alpha-processed
photographs. I didn't want to put too much energy for so few pixels. This way of carrying heavy
weights is realistic. Using wheels would not work on such unstable grounds. So sliding is
the way to go.
