3x3x3 point-light sources may be enough but with shadow blur. Otherwise, the hard edges are too distracting. A rule of thumb tells that using 256 samples is likely to work most of the time because the final pixels have a depth complexity of 8 bits. So next time, try 6x6x6 or 7x7x7 lights and the shadowing should look smooth. Roughly 10 times slower to render? Who cares, just wait. Artistic is one of your strength, and I usually feel it in your entries, but not as much in this one. Though you added again a special effect of yours with these reversed clouds. It "dramatically" saves the whole thing! - DrNo

This reminds me of Edward Hopper [SMcA]

Nice concept... and the scene conveys it, but the lighting is a bit too harsh: some area light for soft shadows perhaps will make it less confusing.

a good idea, but the whole scene seems a bit plastic and glossy to me.
Especially the ground floor.

The sky/clouds look good, Like the kind of sky I would refuse to get onto a plane with. The modelling on the plane is very good for CSG unfortunately I think the textures mainly on the building and ground let the scene down. It is as if you forgot to add a texture to the building.

I like the scene by itself - illumination can be quite complex and challenging in this setting.
The thing that mostly disturbs me is the ground. It calls too much attention by its perfection - looks too much like marble.
