Image description
The theme made me think about large scales, very large scales... from the ground floor it was difficult to have access to such a scale, so came the idea of watching the planes from a plane.
Description of how this image was created
Honnestly i have a problem with this kind of theme, because large scales implies lots of objects, lots of geometry, or the scene will look empty. Very quickly the scene becomes too heavy. In this case the displacement around the diffrent fields surface has caused my system to crash many times. I have thus reduced it drastically, but i am now not satisfied any more with the level of details that is fairly behind my expectations.

Disturbingly attractive. Although the field in the bottom of the image seems to be made separately SMcA

[ThomdeG] I think that large scales does not automatically imply lots of objects, see Clipka's contribution for instance. The trick lies in the suggestion of large scales. In your case, you could have suggested this for instance with an appropriate texture towards the horizon, only keeping real objects for the foreground.

If colors could kill...! Also take care with your horizon: Like in Almir's shot, your world ends too abruptly. If we're flying, we shouldn't see anything above the horizon. And make sure you place the light source at the sun - in your shot, it is a bit off to the right (a bit above the plane), as we can tell from the shadows. - C.Lipka
