Image description
Man's place in nature? We create. We adapt, invent, manufacture. And I think it's wonderful. So here's a picture, inspired by Michelangelo's 'The Creation Of Adam', to every man and woman who's ever questioned, explored, created, discovered, imagined.
Description of how this image was created
The metalwork in the robot arm is almost all constructed from blob objects, the wiring is sphere-sweep. The spark is media. Poser->PoseRay to import the human hand. As for the background, it's out-of-focus media rendered separately (if it wasn't for the competition I'd have done some more work on it in Photoshop), I then used it as an image-map and put the hands in front.

1.   23-06-2009 Nice! A classic piece of artwork stepped down to show how humans want to do better than God and Nature. The nasty, almost poisonous background color emphasizes this. Not the interpretation you did intend? Well...
2.   19-06-2009 Well executed
3.   18-06-2009 Damn that static electricity. Good idea. Nice picture.
4.   17-06-2009 Duh! ('Nuff said... except maybe that I do notice a geometry problem with Man's little finger, some mesh artifacts, and the color banding on the background... but still: Duh!)
5.   16-06-2009 The image is a clever spin on the Michelangelo picture which i is based upon. I feel that the imagery that passes of creator reaching out to his creation is a nice transfer from the original, nice work!
