Image description
This split scene compares Man's place in Nature with the place of bushfires in Nature'
A bushfire generates a lot of heat and smoke as it cuts a swathe of destruction through the landscape, till it has consumed all the available fuel.
Mankind, on the other hand is a bit different, perhaps.

I like the interpretation if the topic. If you had placed the tree in the foreground a bit further to the left, the juncture in the sky would have been less obvious. You should also work more on the textures. Foreground looks less detailed than background.

The concept is striking. If only you would back it up technically! Your goal of modelling everything in CSG really holds you back, I think.

The idea is really nice however I would have liked to see more work on texturing particularly on the tree surfaces and stumps, this would have really helped the image to have more atmosphere. I don't necessarily mean going for photo realism but just not the smooth plain surfaces that there are.
