Description of how this image was created
I did not think that I would be able to do anything for the Tempest until I thought that if I did a straight rendering from the play it might work. Any glitches you see are by design as it is an amateur production, :)
The stage was created in Bishop3D and the backdrop was a photograph from the internet converted to a painting in PSP. I used a few mesh props that I got for free from the internet converted them to Pov files with PoseRay. Except for the boat which was converted from a Moray file that Thomas de Groot posted. The movement of the broken staff was made using PoserPhysics and imported into Bishop3D. I thought that the stage looked empty so I added a pentagram chalked on the floor then added a hollow heightfield filled with media for the magical light.
